  • Can I put pictures on my website?

    Posted by:
Yes, however, pictures must be optimized for web pages. Pictures that are not properly sized will cause your web page to load slowly and frustrate your site visitors. Pictures from a digital camera are of very high quality but that means the file size and dimensions are very large. Before uploading your pictures to your website, follow these best practices:

    1. Give your picture a meaningful name. Change it from the default name assigned by your digital camera. For example: Camera file name might be: DSC_0123.jpg. Change it to what it is a picture of, i.e. Students_Skyping.jpg
    2. Compress and resize your picture by using an online tool called “”. Please set file dimensions to be approximately 600 px wide by 400 px high. (Slightly more or less is fine).  is another good tool for this.

  • If I teach in multiple schools, do I need multiple sites?

    Posted by:
Teachers who teach in multiple buildings do not have to maintain a site in each school where they teach unless they choose to do so. Teachers who teach in multiple buildings can have a link to their home school site from all other school sites where they teach. Teachers should submit a HelpDesk request and designate their home school and which other schools a link needs to be added.
