Late Pick-Up Policy
Team handbooks and/or email communications note the following:
It is your (parent/guardian) responsibility to make sure your child enters the building and goes directly to the pool area, attends practice, and exits the building promptly after practice. Â鶹´«Ã½ and its affiliates are not responsible for children who are dropped off or waiting to be picked up after practice concludes. Due to the possibility of unforeseen cancellations and other possible emergencies, it is required that you escort your child into the building for each practice, be available by phone during practice, and further that you return to pick up your child promptly at the end of practice. Be sure to tell your child that athletes are to wait inside the building for their own safety if their parent/guardian is not there at the conclusion of practice. Be sure to be aware of practice schedules and any communicated changes and escort your child into the building for each practice as Â鶹´«Ã½ and its affiliates are not responsible for a child in the school building or on the grounds when there is no practice. Repeated late pick-ups may result in charges and/or removal from the team.
Athletes should arrive for practice no earlier than 10 minutes prior to their scheduled practice time and should be picked-up promptly at the conclusion of practice. Everyone should be out of the building within 15 minutes after the conclusion of practice. Please remind your athletes to move through the locker room without delay (again spending no more than 10–15 minutes to get changed after practice) and be sure that you are there promptly to pick them up.
If a child is not picked up and the child and coaches are unable to reach any emergency numbers for parents/guardians (as provided by the parents/guardians to CB Aquatics), the coaches will call the police at the coaches’ discretion, not less than 30 minutes after the scheduled practice end time or more than one hour after the scheduled practice end time. The coach(es) will remain with the athlete until the police arrive.
