Sulan Shi is an 8th Grade student at Holicong Middle School. Sulan designed the January lock screen around the theme of Critical Thinkers. In Sulan's words:

"The lock screen I drew displays a critical thinker designing the igloo, making corrections to the first design, which prevented the igloo from its potential collapse. Critically thinking, the flaws of the first igloo’s design were found from an open-minded analysis from multiple viewpoints. For instance, the entrance to the igloo in the first draft had flaws; it was not proportionate to the igloo itself. Effective solutions were then made to resolve the conflicts of the igloo in the final draft. This led to the well-achieved accomplishment of building the igloo without it collapsing. Overall, this art piece goes to show that critical thinking is a crucial characteristic of a graduate. Without it, the resolutions to future problems are not likely to be found. Furthermore, even the problems themselves might not be noticed and not be solved."
